Grievance Redressal
Last updated: 30 September 2026
If something has gone wrong with a transaction, a service request or the way you were dealt with, we want to know. Here is how to raise a complaint and how to escalate it if you are not satisfied.
Step 1: Write to us
Write to us at the email on our Contact page, or use the contact details on our Contact page. Please include:
- Your name and registered mobile number
- Folio number or policy number, if relevant
- A short description of the issue and any supporting documents
We aim to acknowledge your complaint promptly and respond within 7 working days. Some issues need information from an AMC, registrar or insurer, and if so we will keep you updated.
Step 2: Contact the AMC or insurer
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can write directly to the investor service or grievance team of the AMC (for mutual funds) or the insurer (for insurance policies). Their contact details are in your account statement, policy document and on their websites.
Step 3: Escalate to the regulator
For mutual funds and securities market matters
- SEBI SCORES: you can lodge a complaint on SEBI's online platform at scores.sebi.gov.in. Complaints are generally expected to be raised with the entity first.
- SMART ODR: if the matter is still unresolved, you can start an online dispute resolution process, including conciliation and arbitration, through smartodr.in.
- AMFI: as the industry body that registers mutual fund distributors, AMFI also receives complaints about distributors. Visit www.amfiindia.com.
For insurance matters
- IRDAI Bima Bharosa: complaints against an insurer can be registered and tracked at bimabharosa.irdai.gov.in.
- Insurance Ombudsman: if the insurer's response does not resolve your complaint, you may approach the Insurance Ombudsman for your region, subject to the conditions set out in the Insurance Ombudsman Rules.
What we ask of you
- Keep a copy of your complaint and our reply.
- Share correct contact details so we can reach you.
- Tell us if the issue has already been raised with another authority.
Our commitment
We treat every complaint seriously, whatever its size. We do not charge anything to register or handle a complaint. Complaints help us fix problems for other investors as well.
